Description
An exterior photograph of Wolverine Recreation Parlor and Barbershop, located at 22 Ionia Street SW. There is a 7up sign and a barber pole above the doorway. To the right of the barber pole is a sign on the door that says 'inquire" and an arrow pointing to the left. On the door partially open is written "Rooms". Four boarders are listed in the 1956 City Directory.
At the curb, on the brick street, are a '59 Ford Custom 300 with factory optional fender skirts, which Ford called "Beauty Guard Fender Shields." It also has the optional four "Flying Dart" rear quarter trim and "Tee Ball" fender ornaments. In front of it is a '57 Chevy Bel Air wagon.
