Description
Mrs. Dwight Goss, president of the Ladies Literary Club from 1898-1899. Mrs. Goss was a prominent educator whose accomplishments included serving as principal of Turner and Sigsbee schools, being elected to the Board of Education, and also serving as the president of the Board of Library Commissioners. She was also an active supporter of women's suffrage. The club erected a building at 61 Sheldon SE in 1887.
